SENKO Launches Next-Generation HCN Gas Sensor ‘SE-HCN-50’ Developed with Proprietary Technology
SENKO is proud to announce the launch of the SE-HCN-50 Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN) Gas Sensor, developed with our proprietary technology and advanced R&D capabilities. Designed for use in both portable and fixed gas detectors, the SE-HCN-50 is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including leak detection, TLV (Threshold Limit Value) monitoring, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
The SE-HCN-50 supports a measurement range of 0–50 ppm and features a fast response time of less than 90 seconds (T90), enabling rapid detection of hazardous gas leaks. In pure air environments, it delivers a stable baseline of ±0.5 ppm or less, ensuring measurement accuracy even during long-term use.
A dedicated humidity-compensation filter is integrated into the sensor to minimize signal fluctuations caused by changes in humidity, ensuring stable operation even in environments with frequent temperature and humidity variations.
Key Specifications
- Measurement Range: 0–50 ppm
- Response Time (T90): < 90 seconds
- Resolution: < 1 ppm typical
- Long Term Output Drift : < 10% per annum
- Expected Operating Life: Over 24 months in air
Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) is a highly toxic gas that can occur in various manufacturing processes, such as in the semiconductor, electroplating, and chemical industries, and poses serious health hazards to humans. The SE-HCN-50 ensures rapid and accurate detection in such environments, contributing to worker safety and industrial risk prevention.
Application Examples
- Semiconductor Industry: Monitoring HCN emissions during manufacturing processes
- Chemical/Electroplating Industry: Detecting leaks from production facilities
- Safety Management: Compatible with portable and fixed gas detectors
With the launch of the SE-HCN-50, SENKO strengthens its proprietary sensor lineup and enhances its global market competitiveness. Moving forward, we will continue to pursue research, development, and technological innovation to ensure industrial safety, protect human health, and contribute to environmental preservation.
