On March 14, SENKO officially received China Classification Society (CCS) certification for its portable gas detectors. This certification marks a significant milestone in SENKO’s expansion into the Chinese shipbuilding and maritime market, providing the company with a key qualification for entering the sector.

China Classification Society (CCS) is a certification organization under the Chinese government, specializing in evaluating the performance, quality, and safety of key safety equipment installed on ships and offshore structures. In particular, CCS certification is a mandatory requirement for supplying to state-owned shipyards and shipping companies in China, and it serves as a gateway for procurement bids and project registration within the country.

SENKO has proven that its products are suitable for ship-specific requirements, such as blast resistance, detection accuracy, and heat and humidity resistance, by passing a complex and rigorous certification process.

Recently, China, the world's largest shipbuilding nation, has seen a rapid increase in demand for ships related to hazardous gases, including LNG-fueled vessels and chemical tankers. As a result, the need for portable gas detectors has also surged.

Additionally, thousands of ships are built and repaired annually, and the Chinese government's maritime safety regulations are continuously tightening, leading to an expected increase in demand for CCS-certified products.

Based on this CCS certification, SENKO plans to actively target the Chinese shipbuilding and maintenance market. The company will establish a mid-to-long-term strategy to expand partnerships with local shipyards and shipping companies, increase product supply, and respond to equipment replacement demands.
